Mid-Century Modern Drexel ‘Counterpoint’ Lowboy

This is a classic mid-century modern lowboy dresser from Drexel’s ‘Counterpoint’ collection, designed in 1956 by John Van Koert.  The case is fashioned from wild-grained cherry with contrasting supports and legs in firm, ripe mahogany.  The case is fitted with eight drawers, each accentuated with a round mahogany medallion and solid brass knobs.  The lowboy measures 60” wide / 20” deep / 30” tall.  It has been professionally refinished.
