Mid-Century Modern Drexel Parallel Desk

This is a scrupulous mid-century modern desk from Drexel’s Parallel collection, designed in 1962 by Barney Flagg.  The desk is fashioned from walnut and features a rectangular top with a drop leaf for additional work space. The front has a deep filing drawer on the far left followed by three smaller drawers and a long center drawer above the chair opening.  Elongated legs and supports enhance the Danish design. The desk is completely finished across the back, allowing it to be used in the center of a room. The desk measures 54.5” wide / 26.5” deep / 29.25” tall. The drop leaf adds 17.5” of work space for a total width of 72”.  The entire piece has been professionally refinished.
