This is a superlative mid-century modern credenza from Denmark. Designed by Kurt Ostervig in the 1950s, this is Danish design from its ultimate heyday. The exceptionally long case is fashioned from teak and mounted on unique ‘sled base’ legs. The front is fitted with two sliding teak doors, each of which opens into a handsome beechwood interior with adjustable shelving. Four graduated teak drawers cascade down the right side complete with beechwood interiors and a removable tray in the topmost drawer. The case is fully finished in teak across the back to create a seamless appearance from every angle. The credenza measures 82.75” wide / 21.75” deep / 31.5” tall. It has been professionally restored.
